From Doubt to Dutch

I took the A1+ course and by the end of that course, I already signed up for the next one. Koen has created a very well structured course that brings results. As a teacher myself, I can clearly see all the hard work behind the short-enough grammar videos, conversation activities, exercises etc. Koen always provided positive and constructive feedback which gave me confidence in my learning and speaking. I highly recommend him on his professionalism and expert knowledge.

I have been taken privates lessons with SociaTaal for a number of months now and can definitely say it has been highly worth it. Koen is flexible and patient while also being detail oriented and making sure mistakes don’t go uncorrected.
He provides a lot of applicable examples and spends extra time during lessons to fit personal needs or interests, even if it deviates from the lesson plan. I definitely have made way more progress with his guidance and would recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their Dutch skills.

I have just registered for my third course with Koen and I continue with his classes because they offer the flexibility and the support I need to learn Dutch. Koen is a wonderful teacher - he explains the elements of the language in an easy to understand way, he is incredibly patient and he fosters a judgement-free atmosphere where it is ok to make mistakes in order to learn and grow. I would recommend SociaTaal to anyone looking to learn Dutch at any level!

We've been taking Dutch classes through SociaTaal for our employees and it's been a great experience so far! The course has a good balance in terms of pace and workload to make progress in learning Dutch while still being very manageable alongside a full-time job. Our teacher Ferdinand brings a fun energy to every session. He’s very knowledgeable about the Dutch language and culture, and it’s clear he genuinely enjoys teaching. Everyone in the class is really engaged, and it's become a great way for us internationals to feel more connected and integrated in our Dutch-speaking office.

The course went far beyond my expectations. I joined after a few months of self-study and SociaTaal helped me to gain an incredible level of confidence in a very short time.
The platform is very well structured, the classes are clear, rich in content and.. it is also fun! For all these reasons I find it particularly suitable, even for those who are very busy and work full time: as long as you complete the weekly assignment, the steps will be gradual and rewarding. Koen has shown great professionalism and kindness, I really suggest you to rely on him and his team!

Sociataal is by far the best experience I've had with learning Dutch. After trying three other schools, Sociataal stands out as the best by far. I’ve made much more progress with SociaTaal than in any previous classes. The platform for self-study is packed with resources and is easy to use. More importantly, the teacher is approachable, flexible, and makes learning genuinely enjoyable. I can’t recommend Sociataal enough! I'm currently taking my third course and will definitely continue for the upcoming months!

Personally, I set very high standards for a course and a teacher, but I think Koen did a great job on these courses. From his Level 5 & Self-study course, I learnt a lot and gained many new insights about the Dutch language. His course always offers something new to learn, things you often miss in other courses.

I have done the Nederlands level 4, it has been a very enriching experience in which I have been able to strengthen my level of Dutch in grammar, speaking, writing, reading and listening in a very interactive way. The platform is very easy to understand, it is not boring and it has a lot of information and exercises that really help you to learn. The online sessions are very entertaining, interactive in which you can learn a lot of vocabulary, practice speaking, listening and meet other people who are at the same level as you, which is great because you will never feel lost.

Koen has really turned my dutch learning process upside down. Before, I felt really lost and unmotivated without knowing how to improve my language skills. Personally, i prefer the group courses because you have that cozy "school" feeling. You spend 2 hours per week in a zoom call with the teacher and a few other students just practicing the language in the most creative and fun ways. The incredible interaction makes you really comfortable to make mistakes. After the class, you have enough contents to keep you occupied during the week.
